Community guidelines

SHORE works because members can speak openly about their experience. These guidelines help keep it useful and professional for everyone.

Be professional and respectful

Treat other members as you would colleagues at a workshop. Disagree with ideas, never with people. Personal attacks, harassment and discriminatory language are not allowed.

Keep it relevant

Post in the category that best fits your topic and search before starting a new thread. Promotional posts are welcome only where they are directly relevant, for example a new guidance document or a training event.

Respect confidentiality

What is shared on SHORE stays on SHORE. Do not copy posts, documents or member details elsewhere without the author's permission. Do not share information that is confidential to your organisation, or personal information about members of the public.

Share responsibly

Only upload documents and images you have the right to share. Remove personal information from photos and documents before uploading them.

Speaking for your organisation

Unless you say otherwise, your posts are taken as your own professional views and not the official position of your employer.

Moderation

Moderators may edit, hide or move posts that break these guidelines, and may suspend accounts. If you see something that concerns you, use the Report option on the post.
